From her home studio in Maine, Cindy Willingham creates art that is deeply personal, a thoughtful, easy blend of color and simplicity that is both fresh and comforting. Her work dangles between the traditional and digital worlds, illuminating the soft pieces of life. Things like local food grown in gardens or harvested in the nearby sea, or the wildlife in her backyard, from deer to peonies, are presented with gentle whimsy for reveling in the magic of the every day.
Cindy’s artistic flare transitioned into a career with her first sewing pattern in 2006 and blossomed into her cottage industry sewing pattern company, Revel Designs (available through all major distributors). She follows her boundless creativity through many mediums – fabric, paint, clay, food, and jewelry. For the last few years, her focus has been on surface pattern design that fits modern trends anchored in relatable country charm.
You can find her wild Texan spirit in her Maine home studio being inspired by fabric, old books, and vintage cast offs. She has a passion for upcycling and surrounding herself with beloved objects. Cindy lives with her husband and the two youngest of her three children in a farmhouse, along with their dog, mini horses, and chickens.

Spent way too much time reviewing your blog. It’s been such a long time since I’ve read it. I need to try your fresh spring roll recipes and the caramel apples. So much time has gone by. After reading your post about moving, we’re just 2 weeks away as well and we haven’t made a dent either. I hate moving. Thanks for keeping your blog up. When I want to make something, I’ll just refer to your blog and try some of your recipes. Thanks Cindy.
Cindy-
It was great to meet you this weekend. Here is a link to my blog that I featured you in. I hope we cross paths again.

Can’t believe the bird print that you put in your powder room! I am looking for something unique for my powder room too…and was hoping to find a bird print to match the fabric on my sofa which adjoins the powder room..Your creation (colors, subject) would be PERFECT! Can you advise where I might find a copy of the print?
Thanks, Gretchen, but I can’t take credit for this art. I actually found this at Target. I think it might still be available there.
ur the best
