No longer a side hustle.

These past couple of weeks have brought on big changes to our family. After homeschooling for 4 years, we have made the decision to put them in public school.

This has brought on many firsts for us. First time in middle school. First time riding the bus. And for me, the first time that I get to dedicate proper office hours to my creative biz.

The first week was spent tidying up the studio and missing my girlies. It’s not as easy as it sounds to all of a sudden have time dedicated for your craft. What to focus on? What to do first?

Luckily, I started a marketing course called Get Clients Now through the Design Trust. This is a perfect time to start it because it gives you a list of things to do and that’s what I really needed during this time of transition.

It’s going well and I feel accomplished at the end of the day. It’s been a nice balance of producing new art and admin upkeep. And yes, the course does stress the importance of rewarding yourself!
