hexagons gone wild.
March 31, 2011 at 6:49 pm | Posted in sewing | 8 CommentsA friend and I have started a really small craft inspiration group where we can challenge each other with themes in our creative projects. This month’s theme? H E X A G O N S!!
I decided to make my very 1st table runner. I love my spring color palette but I do hope the kids take it easy on the white!
It was hard to pick just one project to make. I’m sure I haven’t gotten the hexagon out of my system just yet. Go check out Craftapple’s hexagon project!!

Did you make this up or go from a pattern? I love it and want to make one, but am not creative enough to do anything without instructions!!!

I made it from scratch and you can, too! I cut out the middle hexagons and pieced with strips around and around until I had the desired size. The 3 hexagons were individually done and pieced together at the end.
